Creative Intelligence Partners

Talent is developed.
Not discovered.

We help parents of gifted, creative children build their ability deliberately, and chart an educational path around who their child is actually becoming.

Why This Is Different

Most families are told to wait for a test. We start with the child.

Most gifted programs work backward from one test.

A score. A nomination. A single screening window. If a child doesn't show up in that moment, they're missed, even when the ability is already there.

80% of expert talent came from chance encounters.

Doctoral research into expert jazz improvisers found most of them never went through formal identification. Someone noticed a moment of real engagement, and built on it. That's the model we work from.

We start with your child's story, not a test score.

A written profile of where your child actually stands, built from real conversation and real observation, not a single number.

EXPOSURE PRACTICE PERFORMANCE CONTRIBUTION
Four clear stages. One developmental path.

Exposure, practice, performance, contribution — a framework built from research, not a generic enrichment checklist, that applies whether your child's talent shows up in a lab, a studio, or a keyboard.

The Approach

The Giant Steps Framework

A four-stage model of how creative talent actually forms, developed through doctoral research into expert jazz improvisers.

1

Meaningful Exposure

A real, unscripted encounter with a domain that produces genuine engagement.

2

Deliberate Practice

Sustained, structured effort on specific skills, with real feedback, over time.

3

Authentic Performance

Applying developing skill somewhere real, in front of a real audience or standard.

4

Creative Contribution

Producing original work and finding a voice within the domain.
